1. Introduction

Welcome to Airport Car 2023, S.L.
. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for renting a car from our company, which is headquartered in Spain but operates internationally. By renting a car from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

• Age Requirement: Renters must be at least 25 years old. Certain vehicle classes may require a higher minimum age.
• Driving License: Renters must possess a valid driving license held for at least one year. An International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required for non-EU residents.
• Payment Method: A valid credit card in the renter’s name is required for the rental. Prepaid cards, cash, or checks are not accepted.

3. Rental Period

• Duration: The rental period is agreed upon at the time of booking. Extensions are subject to availability and must be requested before the end of the current rental period.
• Late Returns: Late returns will incur additional charges. The grace period for late returns is 3 hours.

4. Booking and Payment

• Reservation: Reservations can be made online, over the phone, or in person at our rental locations.
• Payment: Payment is required at the time of rental. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards.
• Deposit: A security deposit will be held on the renter’s credit card for the duration of the rental. The amount varies depending on the vehicle class.

5. Insurance and Liability

• Basic Insurance: Basic insurance is included in the rental price, covering third-party liability, collision, and theft. Excess amounts may apply.
• Additional Coverage: Additional insurance options are available for purchase, including Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP), and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI).
• Damage and Theft: Renters are responsible for any damage to or theft of the vehicle up to the excess amount unless additional coverage is purchased.

6. Vehicle Use

• Permitted Use: The vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the vehicle’s design and intended use.
• Prohibited Use: The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, off-road driving (unless specified), towing, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Geographical Restrictions: Cross-border travel is permitted to specific countries. Prior authorization is required, and additional fees may apply.

7. Fuel Policy

• Fuel Level: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start of the rental. Refueling charges will apply for any shortfall.
• Fuel Types: Only the specified fuel type for the rented vehicle must be used. The renter is liable for any damage caused by using the wrong fuel.

8. Maintenance and Breakdowns

• Maintenance: Routine maintenance of the vehicle is the responsibility of the rental company. Renters must promptly report any issues or required repairs.
• Breakdown Assistance: 24/7 roadside assistance is provided. Contact information for roadside assistance is included in the rental agreement.

9. Accidents and Violations

• Accidents: In the event of an accident, the renter must notify the rental company and local authorities immediately. A police report is required.
• Traffic Violations: Renters are responsible for all fines, penalties, and legal costs resulting from traffic violations incurred during the rental period.

10. Cancellation and Modification

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a fee.
• Modifications: Changes to the reservation are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

11. Termination

• Early Termination: The rental company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if the renter violates any terms and conditions. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
• Return Condition: Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as at the start of the rental, excluding normal wear and tear. Additional charges may apply for excessive wear or damage.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

• Data Collection: Personal data collected during the rental process is used for the purposes of providing rental services and as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
• Data Protection: We are committed to protecting your privacy and will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Spain.

14. Amendments

The rental company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms and conditions will be posted on our website and will apply to all rentals commencing after the effective date of the update.
